Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how dsatify ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and stores information when you use our educational platform.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
- Usage data: practice session records, question answers, scores, and study activity — used to show you your own progress.
- Anonymous identifiers: a cookie ("sp_anon_id") set before sign-up to measure how students move through the platform. This is not linked to any external identity.
- OAuth data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Platform
- To display your progress, scores, and study statistics back to you
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- To understand how students use the Platform in aggregate (funnel analytics)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Education Centre Users
If your account was created through an education centre portal, the centre admin can see your name, assigned homework status, and test scores within their portal. The centre is the data controller for your account in that context.
4. Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie ("sp_anon_id") for anonymous session tracking and an authentication cookie managed by Supabase. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Anonymous analytics events are retained for up to 12 months.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication is managed through Supabase, which implements industry-standard security practices. Row-level security policies restrict database access so users can only read their own data.
7. Children
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
9. Contact
For privacy-related questions, contact us through the contact page.
